Leaky pipes in or under your foundation are consider slab leaks. A leak under your foundation can be a very dangerous problem for your home.  Slab leaks if not treated immediately will cause the damage to spread and can even lead to irreversible structural damage to your home and foundation.

There are 3 types of slab leaks:

1. Water leak ( a busted water line that is under or in your foundation)
2. Sewer leak ( a busted sewerline under your foundation that cause bad odor and stop up your sewer system)
3. Gas Leak (a leak under your foundation coming from your gas line)

 Here are some reason why slab leaks accur:

1. Shifting of foundation, your house when in extreme weather can move and cause the sewer and water lines to break. 
2. Water Pressure, your water pressure could be to high and cause the fittings to come apart and cause a water leak under your foundation
3. Poor Installation, sometimes when the house gets built they poorly glue the sewerline together or kink the water lines (bend copper lines that are not made to bend and cause it to be weak at the bending point) or they can also be damaged by other people in the process of building the house such as framers, concrete layers, etc..
